Fun Baby Shower Game Ideas
Try adding a few of these fun game ideas into the itinerary – I promise your guests will shares lots of laughs and be quite entertained. 😉
A to Z Baby Shower Game
This game involves a printed sheet of paper with a-z listed (you can grab your free copy here). Set a timer for 5-10 minutes and have your guests write in a baby item name that starts with each letter of the alphabet.
For this game, you don’t have to have any winners. BUT if you do choose to, you can pick the winner several ways! Have a random drawing, pick the person who had the most letters completed, or have the mom-to-be pick her favorite.
A Fantastically Themed BINGO Game
To add some excitement while the new mom is opening gifts, have your guests do a bingo game! Each guest will have their own unique card, and each cell on the card is filled in with a baby item that the mom will most likely receive. Things such as a high chair, receiving blankets, handmade quilts, etc.
As the mom opens the gifts, have your guests mark off each spot they have. There are several ways to play and can have several winners! Grab the free baby shower bingo game HERE.
Diaper Raffle
A diaper raffle is the perfect way to get the guests involved while stocking up on some essentials for the parents-to-be!
Print out these diaper raffle tickets located HERE, and encourage each guest to bring a pack of diapers with them on the baby shower invitations.
On the day of the shower, whoever shows up with a pack (or several!), give them a ticket(s) to throw into the raffle. Draw a ticket out and whoever the winner is, give them a prize (see ideas above!).
Mom & Dad Question Game
For this game, you want to grab this free questionnaire here. Have the parents-to-be fill out the form before the party and see what they agree on (and maybe disagree on!). Some of the questions are:
“Who will spoil baby more?”
“Who will change the first diaper?”
“Who do you think the baby will look most alike?”
At the party, have your guests each take a form to fill out as well. When everyone has completed it, have the mom read off the answers from the original sheet that her and dad-to-be filled out. See how many people had the right answers and see who had the most right!
Hilarious Diaper & Chocolate Game
I go into more detail about this game here, but I’ll explain the premise really quickly. You’ll want to grab some diapers and a few different kinds of chocolate. Snickers, Hershey’s Almond, Crunch Bar, etc. (Go for different textures to make this game even more interesting!)
Heat a little bit of the chocolate up (separately), just until it’s softened just a bit. Then each type of chocolate in a diaper… See where this is headed?? 😉
Number the outsides of the diapers so you can keep track, then have your victims (whoops, I mean guests LOL) try and guess what kind of chocolate is in each diaper!
This is one of those games that you are bound to have a ton of good laughs and some great entertainment!

Not only is each card different from the other, but you are also getting TWO different color schemes to pick depending on your theme. Each page has two cards measuring 5×7 inches.
There are two color themes in the printable pack. The first 40 pages have a lovely pink and orange palette. The second half has a blue and green theme – perfect for a baby boy shower or even gender neutral if you are team green (and have chosen to wait until birth to find out the gender)!
Each of the different cards have an adorable rainbow matching the colors. Also, near the bottom of the page displays a bible verse from 1 Samuel 1:27.
“For this child I prayed…”
A simple yet beautiful design that goes with any baby shower theme!
How to Play
Each square on the card has a baby item listed that the mom-to-be may receive. Hand these cards out to your guests before momma starts opening up the baby shower gifts. You’ll also need to give them something to mark each spot – these pink chips and blue chips are great for this.
As the mom-to-be works through the gift pile, have your guests mark off each spot they have on their card that has been received. Things like bottles, a handmade quilt, or even crib bedding are all listed on the cards!
When someone gets five in a row, have them yell “BINGO!”. Now is the perfect time to give a small prize if you wish. This can be anything you want – even something as simple as a chocolate bar!
(Read below for more baby shower prize ideas).

Ideas for Baby Shower Prizes
Now comes the fun part! Offering a few small prizes to the baby shower party guests is a great way to include them and offer a “thank you!” for spoiling the mom-to-be!
This doesn’t have to be anything extravagant! Getting a few gift cards for a $5 coffee, body butter from Bath and Body Works, or even treat bags filled with some chocolate would be lovely!

Make the Game More Challenging!
To make the game more interesting, or if you have a lot of people playing – try out the game using one of the ways below:
Time limit
Try adding a time limit to each ‘game’, and the first person to get 5 across during the set time wins. Depending how fast everything is moving, try 5 minutes and go from there!
If the mom-to-be spends approximately 30 minutes opening gifts, then you could have 6 winners to celebrate!
Start over after the first guest wins
Instead of having multiple winners in one round, try starting over after the first person wins. Have the guests switch around cards to change things up for the next round!
Forget 5 across
Instead of doing the 5 across rule, try out different ways to get the ‘BINGO’! For one round have the participants fill all of the cells in the outer lines (to make an empty square basically). The next round try having them make an ‘M’ with the bingo chips. Diagonal lines only or maybe an ‘X’ for the next one… It is fun changing it up sometimes!
Have the guests switch chairs mid-game!
This one mayyyyy not be best for a large crowd BUT can be really fun for small groups! Every few minutes, set a timer to go off and have your guests move one chair to the right. This really gets excitement flowing and anticipation for who will end up with the winning card!
HOW TO DOWNLOAD YOUR FREE BINGO CARDS
This is an instant download link that will be sent directly to your email address. Fill out the form below with your information, then check your email box. (Make sure to check in your spam folder if you can’t find it.)

I recommend printing on some nice, heavy card stock for the highest quality feel.

Other Baby Shower Activities to Play
Diaper/Chocolate Trivia
Test out your (senses?!) with this hilarious interactive game! Grab several diapers (6-8 will do it!), and some popular chocolate candy bars from the store. Do you see where I’m going with this yet? 😉
Take a bit out of each package, put in a heat safe bowl and microwave for just a few seconds. You only want to barely soften it to make it malleable LOL. Form it into a ball (or lump!) and put in a diaper. Each diaper will have a different chocolate ‘lump’ in it. With a marker, label each diaper with a number so you can keep track of what’s what.
At the party, have your guests investigate each diaper: take a good look, smell it, see which has nuts in it LOL… And hand them a numbered piece of paper of however many diapers you have to guess. Have them write in each number what kind of chocolate they think each diaper has in it.
The person with the closest amount of right answers gets a prize. This is a fabulous game that really gets the belly laughs going and will definitely be memorable for your guests. 😉
Diaper Raffle
A diaper raffle is the perfect addition to any baby shower and is a great way to help the parents stock up on diapers before baby arrives! To do a diaper raffle, ask each guest to bring a pack of diapers if they would like to participate in the game.
For each pack a guest brings, they receive a raffle ticket. (Grab my free printable raffle tickets HERE.) Since one guest can get multiple tickets if they bring in several packs, this can really be a great incentive!
Sometime during the shower, draw a random ticket from the drawing to see who the winner is! The prize can be something big like a gift basket, or even something small like a gift card.
Can’t Say ‘Baby’
This is an easy game that doesn’t take too much prep work or budget. Grab a pack of clothespins from the store and on the day of the party, give each guest 1 clothespin. For the length of the party, try not to say the word ‘baby’! If a guest hears someone say it, they can take that person’s clothespin and clip it to their shirt.
If a guest has several clothespins and suddenly says ‘baby’, whoever heard them say it can take one clothespin from them.
At the end of the party, whoever has the most clothespins wins!
A to Z Baby Shower Game
For this game, you will need a timer, pencils/pen for each guest, and a piece of paper for each guest.
Set the timer for 5-10 minutes and instruct your guests to find a word that relates to caring for baby, pregnancy, postpartum, breastfeeding, etc., for each letter of the alphabet. For example:
A is for Activity Gym
B is for Bows
C is for Crib
And so on!
If you wish to give a prize, you can do this several ways. One being you can pick the guest who completed the most letters during the time limit. Or, you can pick a random winner with a drawing since everyone participated. You can even let the mom-to-be pick out the one that was her favorite!
Final Thoughts
Your guests will walk out of the party talking about how much fun they had with his free printable baby shower game! What’s the Point of a Diaper Raffle Game?
Diaper raffles are an amazing way to really get your guests excited AND have a fun activity to enjoy. As most know, there are A LOT of diapers used during baby’s first year. A box of diapers can really help out and can take some of the stress off from the expectant parents.
A diaper raffle doesn’t have to be complicated! Invite your guests to bring a pack of diapers, then give a small gift for the winning ticket. If you aren’t planning on doing favors, or maybe don’t have too much in the budget for prizes – one grand prize for the raffle is a fantastic option. And it doesn’t have to be anything expensive! Something as little as a $5 gift card for some coffee works!
How to Have a Successful Diaper Raffle
The best way to have a great baby shower diaper raffle is to let your guest list know about it EARLY. An easy way to let them know is to include the raffle ticket right in the envelope with the invitations. My printable tickets below have the instructions written out so they know to bring a pack of diapers if they want to join in!
If sending out digital baby shower invitations, make sure to let everyone know there will be a diaper raffle and then give them the ticket the day of the party.

Supplies Needed
After printing off the game sheets, all you’ll need to play is a timer. This can be from your phone, from another game board, How many times Grandpa snores in a minute… Anything works! 😉
How to Play this Fun Thanksgiving Charades Game
The goal of this great game is to act everything out WITHOUT using any type of words or sounds.
Before starting the game, have someone cut the little cards along the lines on the printable. Then fold them in half and place in some type of bowl, hat, jar, etc.
Next, you want to figure out how you want to play: Teams or individually. (If you have a large crowd, I recommend doing teams!) If so, now is the time to separate into teams. (Bonus if you have a cool name for your group. 😉 )
Pick one group to go first and have them send a team member to the front of the room to draw a piece of paper from the bowl. Set the timer for 1-2 minutes. Next, that person will act out what is listed on the paper WITHOUT speaking or pointing to objects in the room.
Encourage the actor to really get creative and demonstrate the best they can what is on the card. Usually the more outlandish the actions are, the more hilarious it is!
While the person is acting out their card, the rest of the team will try to guess what it is. They can make as many guesses as they can within their time limit.
If the team guesses correctly within the limited time, they score a point! If they don’t guess correctly, that means no points and the turn moves on to the next team.
Who Wins the Game?!
After all the printable game cards have been used, have each team count how many points they have. The group with the most points wins!
It is my personal recommendation that the winning team gets to ‘rock, paper, scissors’ for breaking the wishbone. 😉
Some Helpful Tips for a Good Game of Charades
Word Count on the Card
Let the other teammates know how many words they have to guess by holding up the total number of fingers.
Which Word
After letting the team know how many words, next hold up the first finger to show that you will now be acting out the first word on the card.
After it is guessed correctly, hold up the second finger to relay that you’ll be demonstrating the second word on the card. And so forth…
What Does It Sound Like
Tug slightly on your earlobe, or tap on your ear to let the team know that a word sounds like the action you are doing.
Word Length
You can also hold up your hands with space between each other to show the length of a word (small, medium, or large).
How Many People Can Play
This game is great for large groups because it has 42 different charade cards. So I would recommend up to 42 people can play (in teams), so everyone has a chance to go once.

Number Recognition
Have your child work on recognizing the different numbers by finding them in the picture and pairing them with the correct color at the bottom of the page.
Fine Motor Skills
Strengthen those fine motor skills by having your child use a colored pencil or crayon to complete the pictures! Some of the pages have a few small spots to color in, so that is the perfect time to get some extra practice in.
Color Recognition
Talk with your child about what colors would parts of the picture normally have (like green for a pumpkin stem, a flower might be yellow, etc.) Then encourage them to find the correct colors at the bottom of the page by matching the correct numbers.
Encourage independent work
Inspire your child to do the coloring book pages independently after they understand the end goal. They will be so pleased with themselves after completing it on their own and will be a great boost of confidence for them!
