Hi friend, my name is Kara…aka Mommy the Homemaker!

My goal is to create quality time with my kids while still maintaining a joyful home, and I want to help you do that too!

For my entire life I have loved kids and always wanted a big family. When I was little, I would go to garage sales with my mom and pick out actual baby supplies like swings, bottles, onesies, etc. to use for my pretend baby at home.

I really don’t know how my family dealt with me. It was like an episode of Extreme Hoarders in my room with all the supplies I managed to get in there!

There was absolutely no doubt that I. Loved. Babies.

As I grew up, I stopped playing with dolls as kids do but the love and want for family and keeping a home has always stayed with me.

Fast forward to present day.. I am married to my high school sweetheart and have 2 beautiful kids.

My almost 3 year old literally keeps me on my toes at all hours of the day. He is such a ball of fun, such a handful, such a lovebug.

My 1 year old daughter is not far behind my son on the orneriness level, she is spunky and sassy and so brave! I am so lucky to be their mom.

When I’m not chasing around a child or trying to keep the dog from drinking out of the toilet, I am attempting to manage our home. And that can get heavy and hard to do sometimes.

Picking up toys, taking care of the dog, changing diapers, cleaning up spilled milk for the 4th time that day, stain treating allllll the clothes, hormone changes, doing the day-to-day cleaning, meal planning… Did I miss anything?? Oh and SLEEPING somewhere in that lineup…

How do we get it all done? How do we fill our own cup so we can fill our children’s?

Motherhood is the most important and rewarding thing I have ever done in my life (and will always be!), but it can sometimes feel incredibly lonely and draining. It can be so hard and some seasons are definitely more stressful than others.

That is my goal with this little corner of the internet, momma. I want to encourage you and create easy ways to spend time with your kids.

Above all, I want to provide value in this space. I hope each of us can be inspired to be the mothers we want to be, create core memories with our children, and keep a joyful and loving space at home for those we love… No matter what season of motherhood we find ourselves in!

Thank you for stopping by and checking out my little space here. I hope you have a blessed day!
