One of my favorite things about the fall season are the fun activities we get to do with our kids! Pumpkin patches, crafts at home, caramel apples… We love it all! I hope your child enjoys these color by number sheets, I had so much fun making them!
This set of Thanksgiving color by number worksheets includes:
10 themed pictures with answer keys (20 pages total). Each page has a Thanksgiving illustration or word/phrase surrounding the season. Each page has a place to write in a name in case you are using these in a classroom setting. The answer keys are fully colored in pictures that can be used as a guide or a poster to hang on the wall.
A fun way to get some learning in!
Read below how your child can easily get some extra school work practice in with these coloring sheets:
Number Recognition
Have your child work on recognizing the different numbers by finding them in the picture and pairing them with the correct color at the bottom of the page.
Fine Motor Skills
Strengthen those fine motor skills by having your child use a colored pencil or crayon to complete the pictures! Some of the pages have a few small spots to color in, so that is the perfect time to get some extra practice in.
Color Recognition
Talk with your child about what colors would parts of the picture normally have (like green for a pumpkin stem, a flower might be yellow, etc.) Then encourage them to find the correct colors at the bottom of the page by matching the correct numbers.
Encourage independent work
Inspire your child to do the coloring book pages independently after they understand the end goal. They will be so pleased with themselves after completing it on their own and will be a great boost of confidence for them!
These color by number coloring pages are great to use on a rainy day, a festive way to celebrate the month of November, or just to get some extra practice in for schoolwork!
Add these color by number activities into your child’s daily routine:
Regardless if you are homeschooling or not, these activities are a great way to get some extra learning practice in. Checkout the examples below on how easy it can be!
Morning Baskets
Morning baskets are perfect to entertain your child for a few minutes while you are finishing breakfast, getting the dog taken care of, or just needing a few extra moments to sip your coffee and wake up. These baskets usually include some quiet activities and books that your child doesn’t normally get to see during the day, so it makes it extra special (and entertaining!).
Some cute turkey coloring pages (like the ones in the pack! 😉 ) would be the perfect addition to your child’s morning basket.
Travel Activity Pack for Car (And Other Places!)
If you spend any time traveling (even to the grocery store), you already know how nice it is to have an easy activity on backup to entertain your child for a bit. Younger and big kids alike will love to have something to do while waiting.
Church Activity Pack
These printables are also a great addition if you use an activity pack for younger children at church. Add a few pages in the bag with colored pencils or crayons, and you’ll have some occupied kids before long.
Add to Homeschool Lesson Plans
If you are looking to work on color/number recognition, coloring in the lines, and encourage creative play, these Thanksgiving sheets are great to add in your regular schoolwork plans.
I love reading stories to my kids while they are coloring or working on a craft. It keeps them entertained WAY longer and gets their brains more engaged, whether they realize it or not. 🙂

What ages are these color by number printables ideal for?
I made these worksheets with younger kids in mind, so most of the pictures are very straightforward using a few colors and big illustrations. (There are a few caveats to that though: A couple of the pictures have 8-9 colors used, and a few small areas to color in.) These pages are great for older children or extra practice with some guidance for younger students.
