Check out these top Sunday school songs that will encourage your child to sing praises to God. This list includes all different types of worship! The bible songs are a mixture of slow and heartfelt, while others are fast and have engaging action motions. Some of them are old school songs that we’ve all enjoyed and loved since childhood… mixed in with new songs that your child will quickly grab onto because they are so fun!
Also, be sure to checkout towards the end – I let you in on my very best tips for sharing these fun bible songs with your child.
All of the songs above have simple lyrics and easy action motions to grasp. Preschool is a great age to start the Christian worship songs because at that age, they can really get in character with the dance moves and hand motions!
But truthfully, I think these songs are great for any age. My daughter is just 20 months old and she loves these bible songs! She can’t really do the dance moves yet, but she sure tries to get in rhythm and she definitely ‘feels’ the music. 😉
How to Implement Sunday School Songs in my Child’s Daily Routine?
These fun songs aren’t just for Sundays! Have a children’s worship at a vacation bible school event, homeschool co-op, or even a home jam out session!
Sometimes while I clean throughout the day, we’ll turn these on and ‘blast’ it over the TV. You’d be surprised how fast kids get involved with singing and dancing when they see you enjoying it too!
Another great way to incorporate these songs in everyday is to play them while you are driving or making errands. Soon your kiddos will catch on to the familiar tune of each song and memorize it’s words and motions. Then you can go into deeper discussion about why we sing about a person, how the song praises Jesus, and what scripture references are included!
How to get kids involved
The easiest way (and the best way in my opinion!) to get your kids participating is to join them! My household is a singing household.. And you’re probably thinking that I mean we were genetically blessed with singing abilities.. WRONG.
My husband and I have zero singing capabilities, in fact sometimes we screech the words out as badly as possible because hey, it’s fun. But my most favorite part about our lack of singing talent is the fact that we’re not focused on that – we’re just having a party. And our kids see that and as they are getting older have started joining along with us! Maybe they will have the gift, maybe not. But either way, we have some great laughs and memories! 😉
Final Thoughts
Teaching children Sunday school songs at a young age is a great way to share a positive message about the goodness of God, and also teach about different bible events that took place. These videos are great to show in a church classroom, but they aren’t just limited to Sundays!
Try to find ways to play these throughout your daily life. You will be amazed at how quickly your child picks up on the message and has fun memorizing the lyrics.
These Sunday school songs are great for ALL ages, but especially perfect to start around preschool age.
Which is your favorite? Do you have a bible song that you can still sing word-for-word since your childhood? Let me know in the comments below!
Have extra milk stored in your deep freezer? Check out this easy breastmilk lotion recipe below that doesn’t require beeswax, is an amazing moisturizer, and has absolutely NO harsh chemicals in it that could harm baby’s gentle skin.
At the end of my breastfeeding journey with my daughter, I quickly realized that I had a lot of leftover milk that wasn’t going to be used. After donating most of my stash, I started researching ways to use up the rest in a way that would still benefit my little one. And my goodness, I was not disappointed with all the amazing ways that breastmilk can be used!
Does your little one have some cradle cap going on? Breastmilk can help! Ear infections? Try breastmilk. Pink eye, diaper rash, and of course skin irritations.. This miracle liquid is truly the superior treatment.
So before I go on and on about all of the amazing benefits of breastmilk, let’s dive right into my homemade breast milk lotion recipe!
Ingredients Needed for Your Own Breast Milk Lotion
Carrier Oil
For your homemade lotion, you’ll need an organic carrier oil that will absorb into the skin well.
This can include:
Coconut oil
Grapeseed oil
Olive oil
Jojoba oil
Beef Tallow or Shea Butter
Seriously – don’t skip on this one. It is THE essential ingredient for your lotion recipe (well, other than the breastmilk 😉 )
Both beef tallow and Shea butter have some amazing benefits, you honestly can’t go wrong with either! Tallow from 100% grass fed/finished beef is a great base for this lotion as it contains linoleic acid which helps protect the skin barrier, as well as reducing inflammation… meaning itchy dry skin? HEALED!
I love tallow so much because it has so many uses for our everyday life. We use it to cook with as a healthy alternative to harmful seed oils. I use it as a base for my children’s diaper cream, I also make a daily moisturizer and body butter with it. Let me know if you’d like an in depth post on all the ways tallow has changed our life.
Don’t have access to beef tallow? That’s okay! Shea butter is also an amazing base for this lotion recipe.
Shea butter is anti-inflammatory so it can take away redness in skin and help with eczema troubles. It provides sun protection, is naturally soothing, and is completely chemical-free. (Just make sure you get one that is organic and has nothing added).
A Few Drops of Vitamin E Oil
Adding some vitamin E oil to the breastmilk lotion is a great way to add some extra moisturizing benefits, which will help with skin elasticity.
Essential Oils (Optional)
Adding essential oils to the lotion is completely optional but is my favorite way to add a nice scent to the lotion without dealing with any artificial fragrances. Plus they have healing properties, so win-win right?
Frankincense, lavender, rosewood are all great options to try!
And The Star of The Show: Breastmilk!
You won’t need too much for this recipe. I use 4 ounces to make two jars of lotion, but you can definitely cut it in half if you don’t have that much on hand to use!
Supplies Needed to Make Lotion
You just need a couple of supply items to make this recipe:
Double Boiler (But if you don’t have one, read below!)
A double boiler makes things a whole lot easier when making the lotion, but if you don’t have one that’s okay! You can also place a glass bowl over the top of a small saucepan with water filled halfway, OR place a glass measuring cup down into a saucepan with water. Just be reallyyyyy careful stirring the oil, the steam from the saucepan can get really hot.
Keep reading below to see how I use just a glass measuring cup with a saucepan.
Small Glass Jars or Airtight Containers
Once your lotion is cooled down and all mixed together, you’ll need something to store it in. I love these glass jars, the 4 oz size is perfect and the quality has been great. This recipe makes two 4 oz jars.
How to Make the Breastmilk Lotion Recipe Without Beeswax
Step 1 – Combine Tallow/Shea Butter with Carrier Oil and Melt
Grab your double boiler or glass bowl and combine the tallow/Shea butter with your carrier oil of choice (such as grape seed oil, olive oil, jojoba, etc.). Melt that down over medium high heat while stirring frequently.
Step 2 – Allow Oil to Cool Before Adding Other Ingredients
This is very important to let the oil come down to room temp before adding the other ingredients. If it is too hot, it can destroy the breastmilk’s healing properties and antibodies.
Step 3 – Add in Remaining Ingredients
When the oil cools enough add in the vitamin e oil, room temperature breastmilk, and essential oils if using. Use a whisk to stir everything together well.
Step 4 – Pour the mixture into glass jars.
Grab two 4 oz glass jars and pour your lotion in. Immediately put in the fridge to continue cooling down and solidifying. It is ready to use! Store in the fridge for up to 3 months.
Please Note: Most of the milk will mix just fine with the rest of the ingredients. Usually, every time that I make breastmilk lotion there is still a small amount of milk that never mixes. And that’s okay! It is best to stick in the fridge immediately after making, and that can help with some of the separation.
Yield: Two 4 oz Jars
Easy Breastmilk Lotion Recipe (Without Beeswax)
This DIY breastmilk lotion recipe isn’t your typical lotion. It has all natural ingredients that will soothe many irritations and be an immediate form of relief for the whole family, no matter the skin type. And the best part? It calls for ingredients that are most likely already in your cabinet (and freezer stash)!

Remove from heat and allow oil to cool to room temperature before adding any other ingredients.
Add vitamin E oil, essential oils if using, and room temp breastmilk to the oil mixture. Whisk well to incorporate everything together.
Pour lotion in two 4 oz jars and immediately place in fridge to continue cooling down and setting up.
Enjoy! Store in fridge for up to 3 months.
FAQ’s
Should I use Beeswax to make breastmilk lotion?
Beeswax is a popular choice for most breastmilk lotion recipes because it is a natural hardening agent, but also because it can be very healing to the skin. But what if you don’t have it on hand? Don’t worry! This simple recipe still sets up great and has natural ingredients that soothes baby’s sensitive skin.
Have beeswax pellets on hand that you want to try in this recipe? Check out my recipe HERE that includes beeswax.
What if my lotion is separating?
Like I shared above, most times when I make breastmilk lotion a portion of milk never fully ‘mixes’ with the rest of the ingredients. But it still works great and I’ve never had an issue with quality because of it. It is a good idea to stick the jar in the fridge ASAP after making the lotion.

Do you have a ton of leftover breastmilk in the freezer? Or maybe milk that is high lipase or expired? Don’t throw it out! Checkout this quick and easy breastmilk lotion recipe below to put all your ‘liquid gold’ to good use.
When my daughter was born, I wanted to make sure that I had plenty of extra milk in the freezer so I would pump extra and try to save back a few ounces every day. It worked out great! Then at 4 months old, she decided that bottles and pacifiers were the devil. 😉
SO, we exclusively breastfed after that and soon I found myself with a lot of extra milk in the freezer that I wasn’t sure what to do with.
I donated some, gave my kids milk baths, made popsicles for when she was teething, and I even started making lotion out of it! Turns out it has a lot of amazing benefits that regular lotion just can’t beat, goes on smooth like butter, and is completely natural for your baby’s sensitive skin.
So you may ask:
WHAT is actually in breastmilk lotion?!
All Natural Ingredients
Coconut Oil (or read below for more options if you don’t have it on hand!)
For your homemade breast milk lotion, you’ll want to use a carrier oil that nourishes and absorbs into the skin well.
Below are some options that you may have on hand:
Coconut Oil – This is my personal favorite for this recipe because coconut oil naturally solidifies once it gets cold, so you don’t have to worry about your lotion separating if it sits for a day or two. Coconut oil also contains fatty acids (like lauric acid) which help repair dry/cracked skin and has antimicrobial properties.
Beef Tallow – Another great option! Tallow contains conjugated linoleic acid which protects the skin barrier and reduces inflammation. It doesn’t clog pores and since it is animal fat, it absorbs easily into the skin.
Grapeseed Oil – This oil contains vitamin E which will help with inflammation and is great for hydrating the skin! It can even lighten scars on the skin due to the antioxidants in the oil.
Some other great options:
Jojoba Oil
Sweet Almond Oil
Olive Oil
Vitamin E Oil
Adding vitamin E oil to the DIY breastmilk lotion is a fantastic way to get some extra moisturizing benefits and help with skin elasticity. It is a great way to heal minor skin irritations with it’s anti-inflammatory properties as well.
Beeswax
I love adding beeswax to this simple recipe because of all of its amazing benefits. We could be here all day talking about beeswax because there are so many great things about it! It is a natural hardening agent, so it will help your lotion set up in the jar. It is waterproof so it protects the skin’s barrier and prevents moisture loss – plus it is great for preventing any irritations on baby’s skin (like diaper rash!).
It naturally calms itchy dry skin, helps with elasticity, hydrates and soothes – I could go on and on. 🙂
Beeswax pellets are best to use in this case since they melt quicker. However, I only had the ‘logs’ on hand so I just cut it up in pretty small pieces before putting it in the glass bowl to melt.
Essential Oils
This is a completely optional ingredient, but a great way to add scent to your lotion without having to deal with any artificial fragrances.
Lavender, rosewood, or frankincense are all great options that not only smell amazing, but also have healing qualities as well.
Breastmilk
And last but certainly not least… the star of the show! The benefits of breast milk could fill up an entire book. (Seriously!)
Not even touching on all the benefits of breastfeeding itself, breastmilk on the skin has many uses as well. It is antibacterial so it can be a form of relief for ear infections, cradle cap, baby acne, help calm allergic reactions, heal pink eye… It truly is the miracle liquid!
Supplies needed to make your own breast milk lotion
Along with the ingredients listed above, you will need:
A Double Boiler
Having a double boiler on hand is awesome, especially if you like to make homemade pies.. (but that’s another topic for another time 😉 )
But if you DON’T have one, don’t worry! You can also heat up some water in a larger saucepan and put your lotion ingredients in a glass bowl or mason jar. That is what I used for this recipe to show how easy it is to use.
Small Glass Jars
Once your lotion is cooled down and all mixed together, you’ll need something to store it in. I love these amber glass jars, the 4 oz size is perfect and the quality has been great. This recipe makes two 4 oz jars.

Ingredients
1 TBSP Beeswax
8 TBSPs Carrier Oil of Choosing(read above for different options you can choose!)
8 Drops Vitamin E Oil
4 oz Room Temperature Breast Milk
10-12 Drops Essential Oils (Optional)
Instructions
Step 1 - Combine oil & beeswax to melt. Grab your double boiler or glass bowl and combine the beeswax with your carrier oil of choice (such as coconut oil, olive oil, tallow, etc.). Melt that down over medium high heat while stirring frequently. The beeswax will take a minute to melt!
Step 2 - After melting, set the bowl aside and let the oil come down to room temperature before adding the other ingredients. This is VERY IMPORTANT. It will destroy the breast milk’s beneficial properties if the oil is too hot, so you want it around room temp before adding in.
Step 3 - When the oil gets to room temp, go ahead and add in the vitamin e oil, breastmilk, and essential oils if using. Use a whisk to stir everything together well.
Step 4 - Pour the cooled mixture into two 4 oz glass jars and immediately put in the fridge to continue cooling down and solidifying. It is ready to use! Store in the fridge for up to 3 months.
Notes
1.) In order to keep the lotion from separating, I recommend placing it in the fridge immediately after pouring into the jars to fully solidify.
2.) If the carrier oil used is one that normally stays in liquid form (like jojoba oil or olive oil), it may always separate a little bit anyways and that’s okay! Just take it out of the fridge for a little while and shake good before use.
3.) I don’t recommend mixing this breastmilk lotion recipe with an electric mixer. I have tried to make a ‘whipped lotion’ version of this in the past and the milk always separates from the rest of the ingredients, making it really hard to stay combined.

Do you have a young child interested in all things farm theme right now? Whether you are a parent or teacher, these farm animal worksheets are a great way to open up conversations about new animals and their unique personalities.
Check out this printable pack with 17 pages filled with educational activities that your child will love. Sign up below to have it immediately sent to your email for download.
What age is best for farm animals worksheets?
There are a lot of farm resource types out there for older children that are currently working on reading comprehension. I wanted to create a printable pack geared more specifically to young learners.
If your child is currently learning about…
Colors
Basic writing,
Name & sound recognition
Then these farm animal printables would be great to use at home or in your classroom! There are several different activities in the downloadable pack that can easily be modified based on your child’s needs and learning level.
I recommend preschool age being a great group to start with, however you can definitely use this PDF file for younger or older children.
For younger children, try to work on recognizing the animal pictures and what sounds they make. The coloring pages are also fantastic to use if you are wanting to work on colors along with the names of farm animals.
These printable worksheets can also be used for kindergarten children or even 1st grade! This is a fun way for them to brush up on letter recognition and stay interested while doing so. The matching game would be a great game to play with your older children as well.
Encourage your child to use these pages as extra practice for anything that they may need a little extra help with.
What is included in the free printable farm worksheets
When you receive your email, you will have instant access to 17 printable pages with 7 different farm animal activities to enjoy. The pages that require writing have two page options – one page will have the words/numbers traced in dotted lines, and the other page will be exactly the same WITHOUT the letter tracing.
This is all included in the free packet – Check out the activities and pages below:
Count the Animals Activity
Review the pictures of the farm animals on this page, then count each set to see how many there are. Once that is done, write in the correct number of every set. Two pages are provided with this activity, one with the numbers in dotted lines and one without.
Name the Farm Animals Page
This activity has two pages full of popular farm animals. Practice important writing skills by naming each animal listed and writing in its name in the space provided.
Two versions of this activity are available in your download – one that has the animal names in dotted lines for your child to trace, and one without.
As your child is writing in each name, ask them different questions like:
What do you know of this animal?
What does it eat?
What is its purpose on the farm?
This is a great activity to open up conversations so that your child not only will learn the farm animal names, but can also make connections such as where his/her food comes from and what each animal provides for the farm.
Match the Baby Animals to the Adult Animals Activity
Take the farm discussions to the next step by having your child complete this matching game. By drawing lines to the correct pictures, the student is able to spend some time working on fine motor skills. This is also a perfect time to talk about the different names that the baby farm animals have.
Animal Sounds Worksheet
Teach your child about different sounds that a variety of farm animals make with this fun task. There are six boxes on this page and each box has an animal in it, and there are two sound descriptions above each animal.
Discuss with your student what sound each animal makes and have them circle the correct answer.
Your kid may already know the answers and already be telling you before you get the chance to talk to them about it 😉 But this is a perfect time to show examples of the words that spell out the sounds they know so well!
Tractor Coloring Page
Take a break from learning about the animal farm by coloring this tractor and barn scene page.
This is a great time to work on color recognition and talking about what roles that a tractor (and other equipment) may play in a working farm.
Matching Game
The next four pages in this packet include an interactive game matching pictures of the animals to the sound description that the animal makes. Feel free to get creative with this game – There are several different ways to enjoy it:
Use them as flash cards to work on literacy skills and picture recognition
Sing “Old MacDonald” and have the child hold up the correct cards for the animal you’re singing about.
Traditional matching game (place all cards face down on table and take turns trying to find the matches)
Lay out the sound description cards face up and give one animal card at a time to the child. Have him or her place each animal card in the right place on top of the correct sound description cards.
Build Your Own Farm Pages
The last four pages have all you need to build your own farm scene! I have compiled several pictures of animals, garden items, and equipment. Cut out around these pictures for your child to color and glue to the barn/house page. (Don’t worry about cutting these out perfectly. That would take forever and NOT be fun! I recommend just cutting a circle around each item 🙂 )
Invite your student to be creative and thoughtful on how they would like their farm setup to be like! What equipment do you need to run your farm, what animals do you want to raise, do you want a garden, etc.
Encourage your child to color each picture that he or she picks out and to decorate the farm scene exactly how they would like.
HOW TO DOWNLOAD YOUR FREE FARM ACTIVITIES BELOW
To download, enter your first name and email in the box above. Shortly after you’ll receive an email to confirm that it’s okay to send emails. Once confirming, the worksheet set will be ready to download and print.
I recommend printing out the worksheets on cardstock and laminating the matching game if you can. That way it will survive many play times and practice sessions. 🙂
How to use the farm worksheets
This printable pack is great to use for:
Add to homeschool lesson plans
Easy on-the-go packet to use if you are out of the house for the day or traveling
Encouraging independent work for your child to practice with
Extra study time to do at home if your child attends a public school

Before building (or if you’re like me, putting in an Amazon order! 🙂 ), go ahead and sit down with your husband to figure out what features you both want the closet space to have.
But before you do that, you’ll need to make a list of what all will need to be stored. That way you can make a closet layout to best suit the items you have. Remember to not just remember the newborn stage, but also what you’ll need to store back in 6 months, a year, etc.
Doing this now will save you time in the long run so you are not having to stop mid project and figure out where you need everything to go.
Baby Items You May Want to Store in Closet
Outfits for baby
Extra diapers
Seasonal items (things like car seat cover, Halloween costume, or swim diapers)
Extra toiletries for baby such as diaper cream, lotion, and other small items.
Toys or books that your baby might not be quite ready for.
Extra baby gear

Stroller attachments that you’re not using at the moment
Special keepsakes such as hospital hat and blanket, baby book, baby’s little blood pressure cuff… Trust me, you’ll want to keep it ALL 😉
Extra crib sheets or blankets.
After you get a good list together of what baby stuff you’ll need to store, now is the time to figure out what layout would work best. Below is a list of features you may want included in your new closet.

A simple plan can make all the difference. Start by printing a home cleaning planner with easy-to-follow daily and weekly task lists, seasonal checklists, and room-by-room guides to keep you organized and help you stay on track.
If you’ve ever spent an entire weekend cleaning (or an entire nap-time trying to get caught up!), just know that I KNOW HOW THAT FEELS. I created this home cleaning planner to get ahead of the mess BEFORE it gets bad, and it has been such a game changer for creating a routine in our home.
Looking to take your small space and turn it into an organized closet? This is a perfect example. The shelves on the door give you extra space to store smaller items like wipes, burp cloths, or lotion. The convenience of having items right there (and not having to dig for them!) really helps.
I also really love the cubby shelves near the floor for toys and book storage as your baby grows.
Double rods, cube storage, and an adorable display on the door for all of baby girl’s bows
Every person who has ever had a little girl has probably had the dilemma of WHERE TO STORE ALL THE BOWS. They seem to accumulate SO quick and the headbands are so awkward to keep organized.
This closet door rod for bows is the perfect solution to hang up the mountain of bows and headbands you have stored in a bin somewhere. Now they can be displayed clearly, and you can check to see what colors you don’t have yet… And buy some more! (Not speaking from personal experience at all 😉 ).
Cube storage with plenty of rods for all the tiny baby clothes
This small closet puts a unique spin on traditional spaces with the cube organizer separating the clothing rods. This would be hands down the best way to separate clothing out by sizes or seasons!
Store all of baby’s extra items in fabric or plastic bins like blankets, socks/mittens, or even burp cloths.
This small space seems to have hit the nail on the head of what may need to be stored away for your baby, and the solution on how to get it all to fit!
Inevitably, I always have clothes to stash away somewhere that one of my kids has outgrown. So I really like this idea of putting two bins on the upper shelf for next size up and outgrown clothes!
The plastic drawer set is a great option if you need more drawer space (which I always do!) on an affordable budget.
Freestanding wardrobe in baby’s room
Source Unknown
Once upon a time, when closets weren’t really a thing in homes yet… (I know, I know. Whatttttttttt.) Armoires were very popular.
For those who have very limited closet space, a wardrobe like this one would be a perfect option! They house plenty of space for your sweet babe’s items, and are such an adorable addition to a nursery.
You can also check Facebook Marketplace if you are looking to buy an armoire. I’ve seen several antique ones pop up that are very beautiful and affordable!
Bookcase converted into a small closet for baby – Perfect for those tight on space!
My kids share a small closet, so the main purpose of it for us is clothing storage. The example above is very similar to what we have set up with the double rods!
I love storing their clothing this way because it is so easy to keep it separated out, and we can really get a lot of outfits packed in there.
The shelves above each clothing rod would be a perfect area to store any accessories or shoes that your baby has!
Nursery dresser with shelving and clothing rod converted into baby’s ‘closet’
This is another great idea to do if you do not have a dedicated space to store baby’s things.
You can really customize this area of the room and add your own touches to help it feel cozy and warm. You could also add a changing pad on top of the dresser to have everything right there!
But don’t forget the big bin of stuffed animals.
Because every baby needs a big bin of stuffed animals. 😉
This closet organizer is a great way to store all of baby’s essentials without having to worry about building anything or putting a big piece of furniture together.
Add some shelves, a rod going across, some clear storage bins, and you’re all set!
This closet is perfectly organized with several different sizes of storage room.
I love the easy storage access on the door (I mean, who doesn’t love the adorable place to hang up all of baby’s pacifiers!). The drawer set in the closet provides great storage for bigger items, leaving additional room on the floor as well.
Montessori inspired dresser with changing table on top
A Montessori inspired wardrobe is one of my favorite ways to store baby’s items if you don’t have a closet available! It is such a cute way to display baby’s clothes, plus everything is at a lower level so your little one will be encouraged to independently use it as he or she grows.
I love the changing pad on top of the dresser, so everything is close at hand during those first few months.
The most adorable baby closet space with hidden shelves to the side
This small closet has plenty of good storage space with a dresser drawer set, clothing rod, a long shelf that goes across the top, PLUS a hidden set of shelves to the side of the closet.
This would normally be unused space since it is in such an awkward spot, but these shelves are perfect for it and provide so much extra room… especially for crib sheets, blankets, or even a laundry basket near the floor!
The sweetest vintage inspired ‘closet’
Source Unknown

You can repurpose an old cabinet in so many different ways that you are sure to bring a vision to life that you love!
Another Montessori inspired wardrobe for the win! This clothing storage option can easily be used for baby clothing OR for older toddlers when they want to start picking out their own clothes.
These units would be perfect to add to your baby shower registry list and that would be one less thing to have to worry about!
Nursery theme inspired closet organizer
Source Unknown
Can you tell that I’m obsessed with freestanding wardrobe closets yet? I’m sorry but they are all just so cute – especially this kids teepee style clothing rack! Who needs a walk-in closet when you have a storage area that goes so well with your nursery theme?!
Store all of baby’s clothes on this Montessori inspired teepee if you are short on closet space and place crates at the bottom for any extra items that need a home.
Put a small dresser with a changing area on top to really maximize the space in the nursery! The best part about this closet is how everything is at arm’s length. Need diaper cream? Right there on the shelf. Baby has a blow out and needs an entire new outfit? Everything is right there and easy to grab!
